ABOUT
Fare Forward

Bringing the original Robot Heart Bus to Central Park.

Picking up where we left off, the Robot Heart collective is bringing the original Robot Heart Bus to Central Park for a weekend filled with world-class performances, artistic experiences, next-level dining, and conscious revelry.

Part memorial for our founder, Geo, and part 50th birthday celebration of our 1972 English bus and part celebration of 15 years of the Robot Heart community, Fare Forward is an invitation to appreciate the present moment. Achieve a state of unity. And transcend the material through an elation of the senses.

In memory of geo, our founder.

A lighting industry pioneer, George Mueller—or Geo as he was lovingly called to many—went to Burning Man in 2008 with a group of friends and a 1972 English bus.

Separated from the crowds, he sought a space where sound, sights, and sensation had room to expand and a new, tight-knit community of musicians and artists could take root. His legacy, and the millions he touched along the way, lives on in the events and experiences under the Robot Heart banner.

About The Bus and The Robot Heart Sound System

Our most sacred and prized artistic achievement is the ever evolving Robot Heart Sound system.

It is one of the most unique sound systems in the world, truly a piece of art constructed by hand by our team over the past 15 years. Described by musicians who have played it as a Stradivarius, it's an instrument in its own right.

It has been built, rebuilt and refined and it is an honor for our team to continue to improve it and raise our collective bar on the quality of experience it provides.

Giving Back
to NYC

Every year between 2008-2016, Robot Heart produced immersive music and art experiences with local artists as well as artists from around the globe. A portion of the funds from each 4,000+ person event were donated to YAI—a program providing summer camp, crisis intervention, occupational and physical therapies, and more to both children and adults in New York, New Jersey, and California.

UPHOLDING THIS LONG STANDING TRADITION OF GIVING, THIS YEAR, THE ROBOT HEART FOUNDATION WILL DONATE ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE FARE FORWARD EVENT TO THE CITY PARKS FOUNDATION AND ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO A SCHOLARSHIP AT A MUSIC OR ARTS SCHOOL.

Sustainability

We are committed to producing a sustainable event that leaves a minimal footprint.

Information on our CSR initiatives coming soon.

15 Years of
Community

A small group in the desert dust of Burning Man has become a global community, inexplicably bound and still growing.
